Las Cuevas is known by most to be the best whitetail hunting ranch in the country, and one of the best in the world. Yes, that's right, one of the best in the world! Every year, hunters from all over the world visit Las Cuevas in search of the "muy grande". This ranch was originally a cattle ranch, and the Lopez family has been intensely managing it for 18 years, making it what it is today: the most famous ranch in Mexico.

San Marcos is a hunter’s paradise due to its amazing brush and unique landscape. It’s home to giant whitetail deer, as well as plenty of ducks, quail and dove. It is not uncommon to see 200”+ bucks running around during the rut. There are 30 protein feeders that are kept full all year, as well as 9 solid tower blinds located in strategic areas for hunting. A unique feature is the 1,630 acres of “lagunetas”, which are...

What a gem of a ranch! I truly believe that El Brazil has the best whitetail brush I have ever seen anywhere. The variety and quantity of nutrient dense forage is out of this world. Not to mention the amount of water available. You have to see it to really appreciate it. Located just 3 miles west of the town of Hidalgo, this ranch is nestled in some of the best deer country in Mexico and just 8 minutes from highway 2...

Guerrero, Tamaulipas

2,272 +/- Acres  •  $2,000,000

To say we were impressed when we visited Santana is an understatement! The Perez brothers have done a superb job in creating and managing one of the best whitetail ranches south of the border... The property is truly jaw dropping. With tons of water (ponds, lakes, troughs), great infrastructure and most importantly a magnificent deer herd that has been managed for 14 years, this is the definition of a turn-key ranch...

Guerrero, Coahuila

1,055 +/- Acres

Santa Cristina undoubtedly has some of the best brush for whitetail in northern Mexico. Just minutes away from the town of Guerrero, this property has the potential to grow giant deer. It feels a lot bigger than it is. It has a beautiful, tall rock bluff overlooking a cactus flat and 1.7 miles of the "Castaños Creek" that give Santa Cristina a very unique contour. The creek flows with heavy rains and has a huge potential for...

About Us

WHY US

We're ranchers and family men above all else. We know what it's like to own a ranch in Mexico, because we ourselves own and operate several of them! And we love it... land and relationships are our passions... (and big deer). What we're trying to accomplish with Old Mexico Ranches is to take the word "uncertainty" out of the equation. That means integrity is what defines us. That means we walk side by side with our clients every step of the way, even after closing a transaction. We will never rush anything. We have lived both in the US and Mexico for many years, so we understand both cultures and are 100% fluent in both languages. We want more people to be able to experience Mexico's rich landscape, culture, and of course giant whitetail. There's no place in the world like Old Mexico.

ENRIQUE LOPEZ
Owner

Enrique has been around ranches since he was 3 years old. Together with his family, he currently operates three very successful hunting and cattle ranches in the state of Coahuila, one of which is the famous "Las Cuevas Ranch".

He was born in Texas and grew up in northern Mexico. In 2016, he graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, Enrique has guided many hunters in search of their whitetail trophy of a lifetime.

Through his experience and relationships in the hunting industry, he felt that if you were an American looking to buy a ranch in Mexico, there was no one to show you the way. There was a broken link in the chain; a lot of uncertainty. That's why, together with his brother Pablo, he decided to create Old Mexico Ranches. To make the buying process simple, smooth and transparent.
